Handler was born in a lovely neighborhood and had a happy childhood. As she entered her twenties she moved to Los Angeles in order to explore acting. Handler became an actress to assist her. But, at 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue the stand-up comic profession full-time, since she discovered her storytelling skills. Handler began her career in the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly, a reality show with a hidden-camera/practical comedy. It aired from 2002 to 2005. The host appeared on several shows, including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a a corresponded to The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she hosted her own E! show. It was titled The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran during two consecutive seasons.
